domestic abuse symposium live streamed june 2020

With a distinguished panel of sector leaders and campaigners.  The courageous Michael Brown sadly passed away exactly one month after the Symposium.  Click on the button below to watch the entire symposium.
Michael Brown was a courageous and relentless campaigner in support of victims of domestic abuse.  His perseverance, along with a few fellow warriors, led to the introduction of The Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme.  This is known as ‘Clare’s Law’ after Michael’s daughter Clare Wood, who was brutally murdered by her partner. Michael Brown was awarded a British Citizen Award in January 2020 for services to the community. This short video is a loving tribute to Michael.  It contains extracts from his contribution to our live Symposium on 18th June 2020.  Exactly one month later, Michael sadly passed away.
